Autonomous Forklift & Warehouse Robot Leasing in the UK

Autonomous forklift leasing turns a capital purchase into one predictable monthly rate — robots, M4 fleet-manager software, maintenance and UK support, all in a single agreement over 3, 5 or 7 years. FlyWei leases complete fleets of autonomous forklifts, lifting robots and AMRs across the United Kingdom and the Middle East, with a free site survey and fleet-sizing quote before you commit to anything. Prefer not to fix a term? Long-term rental gives you the same robots, software and full service on a rolling agreement.

Why UK operators lease warehouse robots

One monthly rate

Robots, software, maintenance and support in a single predictable operating cost — no surprise repair bills, no separate service contracts.

No large capital outlay

Keep capital for racking, stock and growth. Automation starts paying for itself from go-live instead of waiting on a capex cycle.

Technology refresh built in

At end of term you move to the latest generation — no obsolete fleet on the books and no disposal risk.

Scale with your contracts

Add robots mid-term as volumes grow. Mixed fleets — forklifts, lifting robots, AMRs — live on one agreement.

Choose your term: 3, 5 or 7 years

Every term includes the robots, the M4 fleet manager, full maintenance and UK-based support. The difference is the monthly profile and what happens at the end.

Leasing, long-term rental or purchase?

Long-term rental is the full-service alternative to a fixed lease: the same FlyWei robots, M4 software, maintenance and UK support in one monthly rate — but on a rolling agreement that flexes with your customer contracts, seasonal peaks or a production-scale trial before you commit. Here is how the three routes compare.

Leasing FAQ

What can I lease from FlyWei?+

Any FlyWei machine — autonomous forklifts (counterbalanced, reach, stacker and pallet-truck classes), lifting robots, latent-jacking and heavy-lift AMRs, plus the M4 fleet manager and RDS dispatch software that run them. Mixed fleets on one agreement are normal: most customers combine two or three robot classes.

What is included in the monthly rate?+

The robots, the M4 fleet-manager software licence, scheduled and reactive maintenance with wear parts, UK-based remote and on-site support, and operator training. You get one predictable monthly cost instead of a capital purchase plus separate service contracts.

Should I choose a 3, 5 or 7-year term?+

Three years suits fast-moving operations that want frequent technology refresh; five years is the most popular balance of monthly rate and flexibility; seven years gives the lowest monthly rate for long-life sites. FlyWei's fleet-sizing exercise models all three against your volumes so you can compare like-for-like before deciding.

What happens at the end of the lease?+

You choose: upgrade to the latest generation of robots, extend the existing fleet on preferential terms, return the equipment with nothing further to pay, or — on 5 and 7-year agreements — convert to ownership by agreement.

Is leasing better than buying a forklift fleet outright?+

Leasing converts a large capital purchase into a predictable operating cost, keeps maintenance and software inside one agreement, and removes end-of-life disposal risk. Buying can still suit operators with available capital and very long asset horizons. FlyWei offers both routes and will model the comparison for your site — speak to your own finance team about accounting treatment.

How quickly can a leased fleet go live?+

The same as any FlyWei deployment: a site survey first, then fleet sizing and quote, then installation and commissioning. Most single-site deployments go live within weeks of credit approval, not months, because FlyWei robots use natural-feature navigation that needs no rails, wires or floor magnets.

Do you lease across the UK and the Middle East?+

Yes. FlyWei leases and supports fleets across the United Kingdom and the Middle East, with deployment teams covering distribution hubs from the Midlands' Golden Triangle to GCC logistics corridors.

Is leasing subject to approval?+

Yes — all leasing agreements are arranged subject to standard commercial credit approval, with terms tailored to your covenant and fleet size. The site survey and fleet-sizing quote are free and carry no obligation.

What is the difference between leasing and long-term rental?+

Leasing runs on a fixed 3, 5 or 7-year term with end-of-term choices that include converting to ownership; long-term rental is a rolling, fully-serviced agreement with a shorter commitment horizon, built for operators who value maximum flexibility over the lowest possible rate. Both include the robots, M4 fleet-manager software, maintenance and UK support in one monthly rate.

Can I rent autonomous forklifts instead of leasing them?+

Yes. FlyWei offers long-term rental on rolling terms agreed around your contract horizon — useful for 3PLs whose customer contracts don’t match a fixed lease, for seasonal peaks, or for running a production-scale trial before committing to a 3, 5 or 7-year lease.

Who handles maintenance and repairs during the agreement?+

FlyWei does. Scheduled and reactive maintenance, wear parts and software updates are included on both leasing and long-term rental, delivered by UK-based engineers with remote monitoring through the M4 fleet manager — so the fleet stays production-ready for the life of the agreement.
