Automated Lifting Robots & Base AMRs

Lifting robots are autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) that lift, jack and transport loads without an operator. FlyWei's AMB and SJV series carry 150–600 kg with ±5 mm positioning on laser SLAM — goods-to-person, jacking, tugging and shelving with no fixed infrastructure.

Frequently Asked Questions — Lifting Robots

What is an automated lifting robot?

An automated lifting robot is a driverless mobile robot that slides under a shelf, rack or pallet, lifts it, and carries it across the warehouse — no operator and no fixed conveyor. FlyWei's lifting robots are the AMB and SBA series: latent-jacking and rotary-lift AMRs built for goods-to-person picking, shelf-moving, tugging and pallet transport. They navigate by SLAM laser, dock to ±5 mm, and run up to 12 hours on a charge.

What can the AMB-300 lifting robot do?

The AMB-300 is a compact latent lifting robot — it drives beneath a shelf or rack, jacks it up, and transports it autonomously. It sits in FlyWei's AMB range alongside the AMB-150, AMB-300XS and the higher-capacity AMB-1000JS. The AMB-300 suits goods-to-person picking and dense shelf-moving layouts, with ±5 mm docking accuracy and CE certification for UK and EU operation.

What is the difference between a lifting robot and a base AMR?

A base AMR (such as the AMB-150 or SBA-400EU) is the mobile platform — it carries a fixed top deck or a bolt-on module. A lifting robot adds an active lift mechanism: latent jacking (AMB-300JZ, AMB-JS), rotary lift (SJV-SW600) or under-shelf jacking, so it can pick a load up and set it down rather than only carry it. Both share the same controller and M4/RDS fleet software, so you can run them together in one fleet.

Can one lifting robot handle different shelves and loads?

Yes. FlyWei lifting robots use interchangeable top modules — jacking, conveyor, roller and shelf adaptors — so a single robot can move shelves, pallets, cages and totes. Payloads range from a few hundred kilograms on the AMB-300 up to 1,000 kg on the AMB-1000JS. A free UK site survey matches the right module and payload to your racking and SKUs.
